Mechanical Preservation

It is extremely important that electric motors are carefully maintained and taken care of, both for the preservation of the professionals responsible for their operation, and against possible influences that may be harmful to the engine, ensuring safety requirements, preventing possible accidents and fires. The motor housing is used to secure it to the operating environment and protect it from the environment in which it will be installed. This motor casing is produced in such a way as to encompass the various types of mechanical protection to ensure the requirements of the specified standards for installations and machinery for which the engines will be designed.

In this way, it can be concluded that the mechanical protections are divided into three different groups, being drip and splash proof, which are fully enclosed and explosion proof, all their rotating parts, or under tension, are protected against water which may come from any direction, making it impossible for direct or indirect entry of drops or particles of liquids or solid objects. Another protection refers to the fully enclosed motor, so that there is no exchange of the cooling medium between the exterior and the interior of the enclosure.
